Natural Skincare Has a New Tallow Hero: Balm XXII
We are so proud to introduce you to Balm XXII, our latest Tor & Co skincare product. It is unscented for Sensitive Skin and perfectly optimised for all skin types!
Balm XXII is without a doubt your new natural skincare superhero that features tallow for glowing skin health. This formula took us over 12 months to develop and test. The number of iterations and adjustments to perfect the formula was, guess how many? You guessed it: twenty two! We are committed to achieving the best results with only the best of ingredients.
At its core, this balm features our farm grass-fed beef tallow. Tallow is remarkably bio-identical to human skin lipids, making it an intensely nourishing occlusive that seals in hydration and supports repair overnight.
Then, we have chosen organic jojoba oil from our Australian neighbours, to support our tallow as it closely mimics the skin’s own sebum, so it sinks in to soften and condition without clogging pores. We chose NZ hemp seed oil to bring a rich dose of omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, which help calm inflammation and reinforce the lipid barrier that locks moisture in. Meanwhile, olive squalane adds feather light, non-greasy hydration that improves elasticity, while organic castor oil contributes ricinoleic acid, known for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness.
Used as a barrier repair treatment, this Balm XXII can be applied daily, on it's own, or as as the final layer of your skincare regime. Used a t night, you will find it works while you sleep, sealing the moisture in so that the skin can do its healing work. Used every day it can help to restore a compromised skin barrier because of its emollient properties, while also being very gentle and neutral.
Applied in a thin layer onto clean, damp skin, it also performs beautifully as a daily general moisturiser — the water trapped on the skin’s surface is held there by the balm’s occlusive layer, delivering deep, lasting hydration.
And despite being formulated without essential oils to respect sensitive skin, the texture is so luxurious and silky, and it glides on and absorbs into your skin so effortlessly – it is easily going to become the super hero in your skin care kit! It is an excellent balm for all skin types — including those managing rosacea, eczema, and dry skin — offering soothing comfort without irritation.
